For three years now he is director of the Dutch Association of Educational, Professional and Scientific Publishers (MEVW). MEVW is strongly involved in public-private cooperation, especially in facilitating a secure and reliable educational ecosystem.
For more than 25 years he has been an educational publisher. Stephan has executed several roles in the managing board of Noordhoff, the largest Dutch educational publisher. As publishing director he has been responsible for Primary, Secondary and Vocational Education.
After a study in mathematics the first 10 years of his career he worked as teacher and teacher trainer.
